The boudoir...wake up and smell the coffee...mmm

Very cosy!

Well, they are just lovely on the walls!

Its taken a while, and I'm by no means finished, but Mark the Decorator has been round to hang my wallpapers so I have some 'in situ' photos.  Mark's view was that the paper was great quality (he should know, he hangs millions of rolls of it!), and handled really well, so that's good news!  It really helps to see how the paper looks in a space - this is in my home and I'm chuffed with how they look, quite proud!  Here, have a look...

Lampshades and cushions, and textures and patterns...

Now, I'm not certain my little addition to the lampshade family is quite up to the same scrutiny as the ones that Genie Lampshades made for me, but on the whole I'm rather pleased with the result!  A new cushion design too.  Now I'm looking for a good printer to print me some lovely linen napkins and tea towels so my range is just about big enough for an online shop.

New wallpaper coming soon

The birds and butterflies design (Papillon?) which is by far my most popular design, is coming soon!  I should have some samples in a week or two so order now in the comment box if you'd like one as it's not on the website yet.   I can't wait!

A warm breeze also brought me a little invitation to show my designs in Paris, but more on that later...

Luxurious Dupion silk lampshades have arrived!

I'm just thrilled to bits with these two beauties!  They arrived by courier this afternoon - 2 huge boxes! They are hand-made by the lovely Kath at Genie Lampshades and covered with my Coriolacae design printed on raw Dupion silk in silver grey, and with a gorgeous warm gold lining.  Keep your eye on my website - I'm planning to add them very soon.

A little bit of luxury!

I've had two of these 30cm lampshades done in my Coriolacae design, in silver blue, on raw silk with a luxurious gold lining.  They should be here in a couple of days and I can't wait!

Review of Independent Interiors Show - 2022 Manchester

My sample box - Photo by Hannah Nunn

Love this pendant light by Scandinord
It was an exciting day last Saturday at the first ever Independent Interiors Show.   The show was held in a very cool basement venue in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, on Dale Street (just along from Affleck’s Palace for those who know).  Me and my wallpapers had a stand along with 21 other exhibitors showing their ranges of gorgeous lamps, cushions, ceramics, furniture, fabrics, stationary and artworks.  I was proud to be in the company of such a lot of very talented designers, and all from the north of England.

You see, this show was my very first trade show, the first time I had shown my wallpapers to the public, the first time I had stood beside my work looking for reactions to it.  How utterly nerve-wracking!   I needn’t have worried though as reactions were really good, great even – phew!  It was a busy day with a steady stream of visitors all day, and I just had the chance to meet some of the other very friendly exhibitors before we got going at 11am.  I had had my eye on several potential purchases (loving the work of Scandinord, Annabel Perrin and Liz Foster Design!) but alas never got the chance to find my purse!  My friend, Hannah Nunn had her amazing paper lamps on show, which gave out a nice cosy glow next to my stand, and was also showing her lovely new range of wallpapers too!

Thank you to the Rachael Adams and Victoria Watson from The Social Butterfly for organising such a lovely and successful event – count me in for next April’s follow-up show.  Thank you also if you came to see my wallpaper, and for your very encouraging words (the ‘wow’s and ‘gorgeous’s will not be forgotten).  I’ve come away from the show all excited and raring to go – plans are afoot for the production of the birds and butterflies wallpaper that was definitely the most popular paper on the day, more cushions, fabrics and perhaps some lampshades too!

Sample anyone? Getting ready for the Independent Interiors Show 28th September

I'm busy getting all organised for my first trade fair next week - The Independent Interiors Show at 2022 in Manchester's Northern Quarter.  There's the wallpaper (of course!), the flowers, books, props, pins, hooks and clamps!  I've got my first mailing list book all ready and waiting.  And as I'm preparing a load of samples to give out too, I thought I'd ask out there if you'd like a sample too!  Just message me your address and I'll post one or both so you can see them in your home!

Retail website is almost finished - I'll post you a link as soon as it's live.

And we're off!

A big day today as I sent off my first batch of wallpapers to decorate a bathroom in Ontario, Canada.  My customer is an interior designer and she has purchased the Coriolacae design.  I'm about to do my own bathroom in Champignon too, so will post up photos of both once the decorators have been.

Contemporary by nature.

I’m launching my wallpaper range with just two designs, Coriolacae and Champignon.   All of my designs are carefully hand drawn in ink, and inspired by the nature that surrounds me, the woods I walk in and the changing seasons.

The papers are printed using the flexographic method and manufactured by a large UK wallpaper company.

Coriolacae is available in elegant Stone, a sort of putty coloured gray that teams up beautifully with Farrow & Ball’s French Gray and Hardwick White paint colours.

Repeat: 26cm x 52cm
Half drop repeat
Coriolacae Wallpaper in Stone £75.00

Postage & Packaging will be confirmed once the size of your order is established.

Champignon in Neutral Gray is a cool,
sophisticated paper with a dark gray graphic motif.

Repeat: 38cm x 52cm
Half drop repeat
Champignon Wallpaper in Neutral Gray £75

Postage & Packaging will be confirmed once the size of your order is established.

Order now by messaging my blog.

Samples can be requested to be sure of the right shade – just post me your address and I’ll send you an A3 piece for you to pin up on your mood board with your paint charts and fabric swatches!
