Photo-shoot with Sarah Mason Photography

Very excited about my wallpaper photo-shoot with Sarah Mason tomorrow.  We have hatched our plans and I have an array of objects and curios for Sarah to use in the shots.  These are going to be my stock for any publicity, sample book images and website eventually, though the wallpaper is technically for sale now too.  Photos of our day coming very soon.

Hot off the Press!

They've arrived!!!  A nail-biting moment when the van pulled up (we had no idea what 400 rolls of wallpaper would look like!) to finally deliver my first 2 wallpapers hot from the press this morning.  It's official, Coriolacae (in Stone) and Champignon (in Neutral Grey) are here and for sale!  Next step is to get them on some walls!!!

Wallpaper on it's way!

My wallpapers are being delivered in a few days and now I have the final printed samples in my chosen colours of neutral grey and stone.

I am busy photographing them in various settings to accompany the samples in my sample books.  Let me know what you think!

The sample books will be ready soon, and I have a short list of local suppliers to deliver them to.  If you know of any suppliers in your area, or know any independent interior designers who might be willing to stock my papers, please drop me a line - thank you!!

Printing Day has finally arrived!

Printing day has finally arrived!!!  Yesterday Anstey printed these two designs using the flexographic printing method.  I was invited down to oversee the printing but alas I couldn't make it to take any photos and see my first ever designs coming off the rollers!  Nevertheless, August 1st 2013 was a memorable day and I'm looking forward to delivery, the arrival of my lovely papers, shrink wrapped and ready to paste.

Cushions too!

A new cushion design to compliment the new range of more colourful patterns.  The dark red strip is a piece of hand dyed silk which has some really subtle colour variations in it.

Really pleased with my chair - upholstered in the birds and butterflies design.

It feels really good to complete a job that has taken preparation, time and effort.  Suffice to say that my chair is covered in cotton drill with the birds and butterflies design (there's a larger scale wallpaper in this design too which is one of my faves).  I'm no upholsterer but am pretty pleased with the results! x

First bit of press in the Yorkshire Post Magazine

Here it is at last!  Sharon (Dale) at the Yorkshire Post has written a lovely piece about the wallpapers and the house in todays edition.  Great photos too.

These have gone off to the printers - woohoo! Ready in August.

These are the two papers that will be available to buy from August - I'll post up the dates, prices and contact details once I have delivery.  Exciting times!

Interview and photos with the Yorkshire Post

This is the photographer from the Yorkshire Post, who took hundreds of lovely photos of the wallpapers as part of an article in the magazine this week.  I'll be posting up the article once it's out but you can buy it this Saturday 20th July.  Very nervous!!

It's been a really busy few months getting the designs finalised and doing tests of both wallpaper and fabric.  The wallpaper factory, Anstey have sent me some colour samples for the two wallpapers I'm having manufactured and I'm in the middle of deciding which colours to go with - agony!  Delivery looks set for August so watch this space and I'll update once I have a firm production date.

The chair cometh alongeth...

I've covered the seat but will need to get more of this design printed to finish off the chair with the butterflies all flying the right way!  I'm going to paper my bedroom with this design, printed double the scale, but I do like it as a fabric too.  Perfect as my work chair!

Upcycling the Murray way.

We picked up a couple of tatty old chairs in need of some tlc and some lovely new coverings.  Adam stripped them back beautifully - the stuffing had rotted and was falling out everywhere so we had to start from scratch again.  Here they are after I've reconstructed them and covered them in a sort of membrane layer to give them shape.

The decorators are in!

The decorator (Mark) came yesterday and hung another design for me.  This one is in the living room and I've kept it to just one, short wall, as it's quite a strong pattern.  S'cuse the iphoto, I'll have some better quality photos very soon.
